Dr. Eric Miedema graduated with honors from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. He later moved to Modesto and joined Stanislaus Vision Associates, where he is proud to care for patients of all ages and abilities. Dr. Miedema provides complete family eye care, including the diagnosis and management of ocular disease, as well as fitting specialty contact lenses tailored to individual needs.
Community involvement has always been at the heart of Dr. Miedema’s work. He has served as a consultant and lecturer for local school nurses and has volunteered his expertise by providing eye exams in schools, nursing homes, a homeless shelter, and even at California State Prison, Corcoran. Beyond clinical outreach, he has held leadership roles as a school board member, church board member, and on several youth sports organization boards. With more than two decades of coaching baseball, basketball, and football at both the high school and youth levels, he has made a lasting impact on local families.
Outside the office, Dr. Miedema loves traveling with his wife, Marlene, and cherishes every opportunity to spend time with their growing group of grandchildren.
