Martha joined Stanislaus Vision Associates in 1976, back when the practice was located on the ground floor of Modesto’s Hotel Covell. What began as a receptionist job has grown into a 50-year career as the practice’s Office Manager, where she oversees scheduling, patient care, and staff operations with a work ethic her colleagues describe as unmatched. Over the decades, Martha has become an expert in vision insurance, often catching errors that the insurance companies themselves have missed.
Martha has worked alongside the practice’s doctors to help patients access life-changing care, including working with the office’s scleral lens patients, which has helped patients with complex medical conditions see clearly again. She takes pride in setting a standard of positivity and reliability for the entire team.
Outside the office, Martha wakes up at 4:30 a.m. for a 3.5-mile run before starting her day, and she and her husband, John, a retired Navy veteran, have traveled the world together — from postings across the U.S. and in Italy during his military career to recent trips through Europe, Africa, Latin America, and Canada.
